As part of a new national Musculoskeletal (MSK) health hubs project, we have a range of new Good Boost classes and Bump Boost classes and social coffee mornings available across our leisure centres to help you lead a happy, healthier lifestyle.

Our certified programmes aim to give you the tools to improve your physical and mental health and enhance your quality of life.

As part of a new national Musculoskeletal (MSK) health hubs project, we have a range of Good Boost classes and Bump Boost classes and social coffee mornings available across a range of leisure centres operated by us and our partners, to help you lead a happy, healthier lifestyle.

Our certified programmes aim to give you the tools to improve your physical and mental health and enhance your quality of life. 

Good Boost Classes​

Good Boost provides a flexible approach to supporting you with your muscle or joint pain or arthritis through gentle aqua and land based exercise rehabilitation classes. Delivered on a portable computer tablet, using information provided about your unique muscle or joint condition, the 30-60 minute classes are individually tailored to allow you to progress through your exercises at your own pace and have been built by experts in order to reduce pain and improve your strength and mobility. Sessions can be delivered in a group or individual setting. Our certified programmes aim to give you the tools to improve your physical and mental health and enhance your quality of life. 

If you would like to attend our Good Boost classes, please take 5-minutes to complete your self referral form here. Your GP or healthcare practitioner can also refer you into the Good Boost courses. Once the referral has been received, the centre will contact you directly.

Coffee Mornings​

Providing information from Arthritis Action, these free 45 minute- 1 hour relaxed coffee mornings, led by a qualified, friendly Arthritis Action Facilitator, will help individuals living with arthritis to learn how to improve their quality of life in a supported, group setting. Individuals will be provided with information from Arthritis Action about how to lead more active lives, how to manage conditions to reduce pain as well as receiving information about further activities available in the leisure centre.

How Do I Take Part?

If you feel that you would benefit from one of our MSK programmes, classes or coffee mornings, please call or visit your local leisure centre to get more information. A full list of centres offering the MSK classes and programmes can be found below:

Good Boost: You can self-refer into the Good Boost classes using the online self-referral form. Your GP or healthcare practitioner can also refer you into the Good Boost classes. Please note, ahead of your first Good Boost class an in-centre Good Boost registration is also required to take part, please allow up to 30-minutes for this. 

Coffee mornings: There are no registration or sign up requirements for our coffee mornings and walk-ins are available.
